Nagoya UT-72G Magnetic Dual-Band GMRS Antenna

The Nagoya UT-72G is a dual-band magnet mount antenna with over 4 dB of gain. It is designed to be used with your mobile or handheld radio. An included super flexible SMA adapter cable allows for easier installation right to your handheld radio. It will help improve your signal by mounting the antenna on any vehicle with a steel body (like cars).

The UT-72G antenna, when mounted vertically is omni-directional which allows it to receive signal from all directions. It uses a very heavy-duty rare earth magnet on its 3.25-inch magnetic mount and is the perfect antenna for cars, pickup trucks, vans, and SUVs.

With 14 feet of Heavy Duty RG-58, you are able to set up your Antenna on almost any vehicle application. The antenna itself is 2.5mm thick compared to the usual 1.5mm antennas found on most vehicle magnetic mounts.

Included in the package is an RG-316 SMA Jumper that allows easier installation on your handheld radio.

Compatible with both SMA-Female and UHF (SO-239) installations.

Most Nagoya antennas will increase your radio’s transmitting gain compared to their factory antenna.

In most cases: the longer the antenna is the better the antenna is capable of boosting weak frequencies and receiving difficult to hear stations. Shorter antennas offer more portability and convenience, while longer antennas generally perform better.

Great antenna

Very strong magnet base. Seems to work well. Looking forward to testing it with my new mobile unit on the road.

A Fair Compromise

Understand what you are buying with this antenna. It is simply to set up and easy to use. It tunes very well and offers reasonable gain. It is not and never will be the top performing antenna available. If you are looking for simplicity of use and respectable performance you will be very happy with this antenna.

Great GMRS Radio Antenna

This antenna is a great RX/TX antenna for signal quality and value. The magnetic mount stays right where I place it on top of my pickup can.
Would recommend.

Nice antenna.

I have to say I like this antenna. I like that it is black, small and not noticible. It also has a spring so when I go under the beverage store roof it is fine. Performance is great. I don't have any way to meassure the swr or anything but I am picking up and hitting repeaters quite far away sometimes. I am impressed and will be ordering more. I have picked up more mobile radios and really like these antennas.

As Advrtised

Had ordered a Nagoya UT-72G from another source. It turned out to be a dual band antenna. The packaging had been re-labeled to the UT-72G. Was pleased that even though the package for this one was re-labeled the same way, that it was actually a GMRS tuned antenna.

The SWR is better than spec. It is a keeper.
