    Awesome radio

I have the 50 x 1 and a few of my friends have them too . It is a great radio for the price ,once you learn the setting it works great .I would buy it again

    Awesome for the price!

Up here in Alaska, communications are more than just for fun. They are vital and can be life saving. This radio does the job for me. Small, solid, CHIRP compatible, powerful, 30 channel radio. Programable with mic, or your computer with $25 cable. 199 programable listen only channels available. Lots of YouTube videos to assist in setup. Complete just find your power source, hook up antenna, select you options for what you want to display on the screen, you are ready to go. There is nothing to do as for channels etc. All set up from the factory as far as transmit and receive. Repeater ready. No test FCC license available on the net. $70 for 10 years. Easy to get in about 30 minutes. For the money a solid deal!

    Never again

First one lasted 32 days. Replacement lasted 10 minutes. Had good SWR. They told me swr was too high. I have a kenwood and a midland both have lasted several years. I lost over 200 dollars with returning two units. They kept the second one because I refused to pay 70 bucks. Now Amazon doesn’t carry radio anymore. If it says Btech. Go the other direction.

    Hi Steven,

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with this product. Unfortunately, I can't find you as a customer of ours. Please contact us at for help with your order.

    Poor Quality

I would like to start this post has nothing to do with the MyGMRS website, I'm calling out BTECH on their overpriced, crappy product.
This radio has horrible overall quality. I've been through two of these radios. They both have died on me while being used. (Yes all the cables, connections, antenna, and SWRs were perfect at 1:1.04) My first radio was warrantied, and they blamed the damage on "high swrs" when that was completely FALSE, they like to blame "high swrs" instead of owning up to the bad quality of their products. My second radio did the same thing the first one did and just faded out to its death while having a conversation. Now BTECH has refused me a replacement radio due to the fact it did the same thing as my first radio when the issue is the radio itself. To anyone reading this just BEWARE if you buy this product, the radio MAY FAIL! Make sure you do your research on your radios and don't make a $180 mistake!
